BKFC 65: Christine Ferea vs. Jade Masson-Wong: Live round-by-round updates

Christine Ferea vs. Jade Masson-Wong (women's flyweight title fight) will headline BKFC 65 later this evening at the Maverik Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Reigning champion Ferea (8-1) is a true veteran of the sport. Since debuting for BKFC in 2018 'Misfit' has registered wins against big names including Britain Hart and Bec Rawlings.

Apart from her illustrious bare-knuckle boxing career, she also holds a pro-MMA record of 1-2. The 41-year-old is currently on a six-fight win streak and is a -197 favorite for the matchup.

In the other half of the event, Wong (3-1), is on a two-fight win streak. She was last seen in a first-round stoppage win against Gabrielle Roman in March. 'Evil Smile' also holds a pro MMA record of 3-2. She is a +146 underdog for the matchup.

Round 1

Wong is constantly flinging jabs to gauge her range. A right-hand lands for the challenger. A powerful right-hand lands for Wong in the entry to the clinch.

A powerful left hand to the body lands for the champion. A good round for the challenger.

Wong explodes and lands a right hand before clinching up her opponent. After a prolonged battle in the clinch, both fighters fall to the canvas.

As they reset and the fight restarts Ferea tries to land a big overhand right. The champion is yet to string up any combos in the round. Her opponent's explosiveness and tendency to employ clinches seem to be giving problems for the Ferea.
