More on BKFC 66: Alberto Blas vs Ryan Reber
The challenger Reber last fought at BKFC 61 back in May, defeating Anthony Foye via a unanimous decision after five rounds. Reber used a very methodical pace and surgically dismantled Foye with his trademark stick-and-move style.
As for the champion Blas, he was last seen in action in June at BKFC 62, utterly dominating Keith Richardson en route to a violent first-round stoppage. The heavy-handed southpaw quite literally sent his opponent to another dimension as his punches seemingly put Richardson in an altered state of mind.
After getting knocked down a second time, Richardson, who is also a veteran MMA fighter, shot for a single-leg takedown. Despite not having a clear idea where he is or what kind of fight he's in, Richardson somehow beat the 10-count. Shortly after that, however, Alberto Blas landed some hellacious punches that signaled the end of the bout.
A harrowing sight followed as a visibly hurt and dazed Richardson tried to fight the referee after the bout was stopped.
This should be an interesting bout to watch.
