The news of Arman Tsarukyan's suspension resulting from his incident with a fan at UFC 300 surprised many, including Bobby Green. Though Tsarukyan and Green have never been close to fighting each other, their rivalry in 2023 was one of the most notable in the lightweight division.

On June 25, multiple sources reported and confirmed that Tsarukyan received a nine-month suspension for attempting to punch a fan while making his walkout at UFC 300. 'Ahalkalakets' also received a $25,000 fine, but has the chance to reduce his suspension to six months should he participate in an anti-bullying campaign.

Many fans and fighters reacted to the news with none more notable than Green. 'King' reacted to an Instagram post of the suspension from MMA Fighting with one word, using his now-infamous line to comment:

The comment was a reference to a clip of Green that went viral on MMA Twitter in February. While working on the ESPN broadcast of the UFC 298 weigh-ins, Green reacted to Mackenzie Dern hitting the scales with the line that he would later be ridiculed with by fans on social media.

Two months later, Green built on the broadcast show gimmick by asking Laura Sanko if she "missed him" as he made his way to the scale for his fight against Jim Miller on the UFC 300 prelims.

Bobby Green's history with Arman Tsarukyan

Arman Tsarukyan and Bobby Green were never friends but their relationship turned into a bad-blood rivalry at UFC Austin.

In a video Tsarukyan would post on his YouTube channel, the Russian accused Green of "talking s***" during the event fight week while approaching him with his team. After getting in each other's faces, the two lightweights exchanged shoves and had to be separated.

In the main event of UFC Austin, Tsarukyan would knock out Beneil Dariush in the first round to cement himself as a title contender. Green would not be as successful on the night, violently losing to Jalin Turner in what most still consider to be one of the worst referee stoppages in MMA history.
