Bokang Masunyane expects to be pushed to the limit when he takes to the global stage against Mansur Malachiev at ONE Fight Night 25. Thankfully, he doesn't have to look too far for any inspiration.

Heading into his pivotal showdown against the Dagestani grappling specialist inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Oct. 4, Masunyane took his winning streak to two against Keito Yamakita at ONE 165 in January.

While 'Little Giant' got his hand raised, he admits it was anything but a walk in the park. Looking back at his victory, Bokang Masunyane told ONE Championship:

"I knew it was a bit of a mountain to climb against him. He's a brilliant fighter, good with the ground game, good with his stand-up. So, I had to watch some of his tapes and watch his movements, then make some changes to implement my movements and my style to win."

That arduous game planning and executing it to perfection came in handy for the No.2-ranked strawweight MMA contender last time out as he squares off against another tricky test inside the Mecca of Muay Thai later this week.

The Coach Quan University affiliate has deployed a similar strategy heading into this clash against the No.5-ranked contender to maintain his winning ways and stay hot on the heels of interim king Jarred Brooks and reigning kingpin Joshua Pacio.

Bokang Masunyane confident he has it in him to gain a win versus Mansur Malachiev

Though he expects another all-out war alongside Mansur Malachiev, Bokang Masunyane remains confident he has enough within his arsenal to see off the grappling specialist come fight night.

In the aforementioned interview, the South African added:

"I feel like my style is much more superior. There's much more tools and much more ammo in my wrestling skills. I've also worked on my stand-up skills with tweaks."

Catch the two in action at ONE Fight Night 25, available to active Amazon Prime Video subscribers live in U.S. primetime for free this Friday, Oct. 4.
