A legendary boxer recently gave his take on the upcoming matchup between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson. The individual also discussed the unfairness of this boxing contest.

Given Tyson's old age at the time of the fight, the contest has generated intense debate and discussion ever since it was officially announced earlier this year. The YouTuber-turned-boxer was initially scheduled to compete against Tyson on July 20 in a heavyweight bout.

However, the former undisputed heavyweight champion had to pull out of the fight due to an ulcer flare-up. The boxing legend, who is now fully recovered, will face Paul on Nov. 15 in an eight-round contest at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The person in question is Tyson's former opponent Lennox Lewis, who expressed his thoughts on the Paul vs. Tyson matchup in a recent interview with Sky Sports Boxing. Lewis claimed that the celebrity YouTuber entering the scene and getting all the attention is unfair to the other dedicated boxers in the sport who are working hard to earn a shot at a title.

''It’s good and it’s bad. A lot of boxers that are out there training hard and working and trying to get a shot at the championship don’t get a chance. All of a sudden, a YouTuber comes along and gets all the excitement, all the praise and the money. So, in that way, it’s not fair.''

Lewis also gave his prediction for the fight, saying:

''Mike Tyson, just kind of cutting off the ring and throwing body and head blows, when he can catch up to Jake Paul. I'm sure Jake Paul will be moving fast, moving around the ring. He's not going to want to stand there and get hit by Mike Tyson! I'll be there and it's going to be exciting."

Roy Jones Jr. backs Mike Tyson to win against Jake Paul

Mike Tyson's upcoming boxing match with Jake Paul will consist of eight rounds, each lasting two minutes. According to Tyson's former opponent Roy Jones Jr., these conditions would favor the 58-year-old.

In a recent interview with MMANytt, Jones Jr. predicted Tyson would prevail against Paul, saying:

''I believe in Mike [Tyson], likely via decision. But if he wants to finish it, he can. Yet, if he’s just looking to enjoy the fight, he might take it slow and have some fun… I’m not worried about Mike and his age. Mike is still hard to hit, and he hits like a truck...When I boxed him four years ago, we did two-minute rounds, and, surprisingly, he didn’t lose energy, he kept the same pace.''
