According to betting odds, Khamzat Chimaev appears to be the frontrunner for becoming the UFC middleweight champion by the end of 2025. An X account named @mma_orbit (via Draft Kings) uploaded the betting odds as to who will claim the 185-pound title in the coming year.
Chimaev emerged as the top contender with -200 odds. Current middleweight king Dricus du Plessis was at +120 and former champion Sean Strickland's odds stood at +300.
Odds of several other fighters like Caio Borralho, Nassourdine Imavov and Sharabutdin Magomedov were also mentioned in the post.

The post caught the attention of many MMA fans, who shared their thoughts in the comments section.
One fan opined that Chimaev would likely get the middleweight title, unless he were to sustain an injury.
"Bet the house on Chimaev. In my opinion, he'll be the champ unless he gets injured."
Another user was of the opposite view and labeled Chimaev supporters as 'brain rotted fanboys'.
"Basically betting addicts and brain rotted fanboys going out of their way to gaslight everyone into thinking Khamzat is an undefeatabale GOAT, when all he's done at [middleweight] is re-break [Robert] Whittaker's jaw, that du Plessis originally broke."
One individual predicted for Strickland to capture the middleweight belt again.
"Strickland becomes champ again."
One person picked du Plessis to remain champion by the end of 2025.
"No one beats [Dricus du Plessis]."

Tom Aspinall also picks Khamzat Chimaev to capture the middleweight title
Tom Aspinall believes that the middleweight title will change hands in 2025 and end up with Khamzat Chimaev. The UFC interim heavyweight king recently spoke to TNT Sports in a now-deleted interview where he weighed in on the 185-pound division.
Aspinall shared that although he did not wish to go against the current champion, he believed 'Borz' would be the champion in 2025.
"Right, I've picked against Dricus, so many times, I'm not going to do it again, but I think to say that Khamzat Chimaev is not going to be a champion this time next year is just silly. So, I'm going to say Khamzat."
