Brandon Vera truly has no fear. After a lifetime of experience in mixed martial arts, there is no human on the planet that Vera would not challenge. Most recently, he declared that he was willing to trade submissions with all time Brazilian jiu-jitsu great Marcus Almeida.

While speaking with The MMA Superfan, 'The Truth' explained:

"I would be planning to roll with him on the ground, I would be planning to get back on the feet, roll with him, go submission for submission. Go to whole positions so neither one of us can move... I would think about trying to stall him on the ground, I would think about working with him."

'Buchecha' is an all-time submission grappling great who switched to MMA after winning dozens of world championships in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Since making his debut in professional MMA, he has gone undefeated in four bouts, winning all of these by first-round stoppage. Marcus Almeida is undoubtedly a dangerous addition to ONE Championship's heavyweight division.

Watch 'Buchecha' submit his opponent in his latest fight:

Former ONE heavyweight world champion Brandon Vera is lining up to become the next opponent for Almeida. But first, 'The Truth' will battle Amir Aliakbari at ONE 164 on December 3.

Brandon Vera respects Amir Aliakbari

Both Brandon Vera and ‘Buchecha’ are in pursuit of the ONE heavyweight world championship and may collide en route toward ONE gold. Vera must first defeat the heavy-handed Iranian wrestler, Amir Aliakbari, at ONE 164.

While speaking with MMA correspondent Volt Lozada, Brandon Vera explained how he views Aliakbari. Vera stated:

"He’s big as a monster. He’s folding people in half when he punches them in the face. Aliakbari, that boy’s mad, he’s nasty, his wrestling’s ridiculous. He can fake his shots while he’s punching and he’s not scared to swing. He’ll close his eyes and swing."

Since making the switch from Greco-Roman wrestling, Amir Aliakbari has become a feared heavyweight fighter in MMA. He has won the majority of his matches by way of KO/TKO. Both Vera and Aliakbari will be seeking a knockout finish in their heavyweight battle at ONE 164 on December 3.
