Bryce Mitchell strongly believes Alexander Volkanovski won his fight against lightweight champion Islam Makhachev at UFC 284. The No.11-ranked featherweight recently made some bold claims of foul play and insisted that corruption played a role in the results of UFC 284's headliner.

The super fight between the two champions was undoubtedly one for the books as featherweight champion Volkanovski took on the Dagestani grappling phenom in Perth, Australia, to make history as only the fifth simultaneous two-division champion in history. 'The Great' took Makhachev to the brink and closed out the fifth round strong, but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to win in the judges’ eyes.

While many fans and fighters disagreed with the official scorecard, Bryce Mitchell went a step further and declared that the judges were bribed and the fight was "rigged." In a recent interview with Fanatics View, 'Thug Nasty' stated:

"That fight was rigged as f**k... But he [Islam Makhachev] brings in all that money from the Middle East. When you're bringing in that kind of oil money... I guess they just f***king paid the judges to... I don’t know. I know Alexander Volkanovski won a decision. I don’t think nothing. I know he won and I know that s**t was rigged, and I’m not f***king stupid... I know Alexander Volkanovski won that fight.”

Meanwhile, Bryce Mitchell will look to rebound off his submission loss to Ilia Topuria in December 2022 when he faces Jonathan Pearce at UFC 288 on May 6 in Newark, New Jersey.

Bryce Mitchell next fight: 'Thug Nasty' wants "McGregor money" to compete in the Power Slap League

Bryce Mitchell is not a fan of Dana White's Power Slap League, but the right amount of money can change the No.11-ranked featherweight's mind.

Power Slap is the UFC president's latest combat sports venture and has been controversial since its debut. The sport involves two competitors slapping each other as hard as possible until one gets knocked out or concedes.

In the same interview, Bryce Mitchell was asked for his thoughts on the new sport and if he'd ever consider participating. He replied:

"It's just a waste of time, man, I mean, shoot. It's crazy... I mean, they'd have to pay me, like, f***king Mcgregor money to do that sh*t, dude. If you pay me, like, $10 million, I'll f***king go slap happy, man."

The brutal nature of this new sport has not gone unnoticed by the combat sports community. Many health experts and combat enthusiasts have condemned the Power Slap League for its dangerous ruleset amidst concerns about fighters' health.
