Due to an injury suffered by Dan Hooker, the No. 7 ranked UFC lightweight, Mateusz Gamrot, will take his place in a bout against No. 10 ranked Jalin Turner on the main card of UFC 285. This is an important opportunity for Gamrot to prove himself as a contender in one of the UFC's most competitive weight classes.

Although stepping in as a replacement fighter can be a challenging task, Gamrot is known for his versatility and skill set, which includes a strong grappling game and striking ability.

On February 8, it was revealed that Dan Hooker had suffered a hand injury and would not be able to fight Jalin Turner on March 4 at UFC 285. The UFC was in a rush to find a replacement fighter, and Drew Dober was one of the names suggested for the bout. The Polish native stepped up to take the fight, which is a testament to his readiness and willingness to compete at the highest level. Despite the short notice, Gamrot is a formidable opponent with a versatile set of skills, and he will undoubtedly give Turner a tough fight.

Controversy in the cctagon: Dan Hooker accuses Islam Makhachev of cheating

UFC lightweight fighter Dan Hooker made headlines recently after he went on a Twitter rant, accusing current lightweight champion Islam Makhachev of cheating. The accusations came after Makhachev successfully defended his lightweight title against Alexander Volkanovski in the main event of UFC 284.

The fight was a closely contested battle that saw Makhachev emerge victorious via unanimous decision after an intense back-and-forth contest. Despite the hard-fought win, Makhachev now finds himself facing allegations of cheating from a fellow fighter in the UFC.

Dan Hooker, a UFC lightweight fighter, recently made the controversial claim that one of the fighters at UFC 284 in Australia had used IV infusions prior to the fight.

The New Zealand native wrote:

"Dumb c*nt thinks he can fly to Australia hire a nurse to give him an I.V and we won't find out. Cheating dog."

'The Hangman' continued his accusations, stating that the fighter he was referring to would not have won the bout without cheating. Eventually, he named Islam Makhachev as the alleged culprit.
