Sean O'Malley blown away by Ilia Topuria's performance against Bryce Mitchell
Ilia Topuria's performance at UFC 282 lived up to its promise and some more. The featherweight power puncher submitted grappling expert Bryce Mitchell to end his unbeaten streak.
In the second round, Ilia Topuria knocked his opponent down with an overhand right and then attempted a guillotine choke. Bryce Mitchell scrambled to his feet, but 'El Matador' landed a vicious uppercut and a barrage of follow-up blows that knocked down 'Thug Nasty' again. At 3:10 of the second round, instead of wasting time with ground-and-pound, the 25-year-old switched to an arm triangle attempt, which forced his opponent to tap.
Speaking about Ilia Topuria's performance on his YouTube channel, Sean O'Malley claimed to be thoroughly impressed by 'El Matador's performance:
"His [Topuria] low-stance and his boxing is so clean.... He's an animal. And he looks small.... I think that he can make 135 lbs. That was so sweet. Bryce is f**king good, especially on the ground. Ilia f**ked him up."
