It appears as though one fight at UFC 287 has been scrapped from the event.
The promotion announced that the heavyweight bout between Karl Williams and Chase Sherman has been called off due to a medical emergency. Sherman was forced off due to an illness and because of the timing, there wasn't enough time to find a replacement, so the bout was scrapped.
The heavyweight clash was set to take place on the prelims portion of the event. Sherman was initially scheduled to fight Chris Barnett, however, Barnett pulled out of the fight and was replaced by Williams. According to MMA Junkie, Williams will still be getting his fight purse after stepping in on short notice.

It was an important fight for Sherman as he looked to bounce back from his loss to Waldo Cortes-Acosta. Prior to the loss, 'The Vanilla Gorilla' snapped his 4-fight losing skid with an impressive third-round TKO win over Jared Vanderaa and earned a Performance of the Night bonus.
Williams, on the other hand, is currently riding a 5-fight winning streak that includes his unanimous decision win over Jimmy Lawson on Dana White's Contender Series to earn a UFC contract and unanimous decision win over Lukasz Brzeski in his promotional debut.
Which fights are scheduled for the UFC 287 main card?
