UFC 287 is just hours away and the weigh-ins brought some drama of their own. A fighter had to forfeit 20% of his purse to fight.

Raul Rosas Jr. is set to make his debut in a UFC main card in just his second fight for the promotion. The Mexican-American will fight Christian Rodriguez in the first fight of the main card.

During the weigh-ins for the fight, Rodriguez missed weight and will now have to forfeit a certain percentage of his purse in order to keep the fight alive. Take a look at the report by Danny Segura:

"Christian Rodriguez's final weight was 137, one pound over the bantamweight limit. His bout with Raul Rosas Jr. will go on at #UFC287, but he'll forfeit 20% of his purse, per UFC official."

Take a look at the tweet:

Christian Rodriguez has fought twice in the UFC and has one win and a loss to his name. The American is looking to derail the Raul Rosas Jr. hype train and make a statement. However, Rosas Jr. has looked very impressive in his last few fights ever since appearing on Dana White's Contender Series. The teenager will look to continue his dominant run of form in his first main card fight.

Raul Rosas Jr. claims Christian Rodriguez is nowhere near his level ahead of UFC 287

Raul Rosas Jr. is extremely confident ahead of his second fight for the organization at UFC 287. The teenager is in the opening fight of the main card and will look to display that he is not just all hype, but he has the skills to back it up as well.

Christian Rodriguez is a very tough fighter, so Rosas will have to fight hard for a win. In a recent interview, he stated that Rodriguez is not on the same level:

"Yeah I heard that people think he is a prospect too, and he is you know, but this is exactly the fight that I need, another prospect so I can finish them and show that there's levels to this and that he is nowhere near my level. That way people can start seeing that I deserve to fight a top 15."

Raul Rosas Jr. will be taking on his toughest opponent at UFC 287 and the fight could possibly make or break his career. The teenager has a lot of pressure on his shoulders, to deliver on the big stage.
