Brendan Schaub and Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson recently reflected on Kimbo Slice and noted that both he and his son have an admirable quality. They spent time with the former backyard brawler-turned-MMA star during season 10 of 'The Ultimate Fighter' and spoke highly of their friend's memory.
'The Hybrid' was a contestant on the all-heavyweight season on Rashad Evans' team while Slice was the first selection to Jackson's team. During a recent episode of 'Rampage's JAXXON PODCAST, Schaub described what it was like spending time with the Florida native on the show and mentioned that he was a joy to be around. He said:
"He was quiet, and you meet him, he's like this great family guy. Really didn't wanna be bothered with anything. Just a good dude, would cook all the time. He's talking about like, always being around his kids. Like, he was such a good person, such a good dude."
The former UFC light heavyweight champion echoed Schaub's sentiments and brought up how Slice's son, 'Baby Slice', shares an admirable quality as his late father. Jackson mentioned that he is also a family man who is loyal to his wife, saying:

"His [Slice's] son is real cool. He's married young. You always respect the guys like you, get married and don't be cheating around their wife and stuff like that. I hope Bear grow to be like that."

Kimbo Slice's arrival on 'The Ultimate Fighter' season 10 was quite a surprise and generated plenty of interest on Spike TV.
'Rampage' Jackson selected Slice with his first pick, which signified that he clearly had high hopes for him. Unfortunately for the backyard brawler-turned-MMA star, he was eliminated after losing a unanimous decision to eventual winner Roy Nelson.
Despite the loss, Slice remained eager to improve as a fighter on the show and was given another opportunity in the finale. He earned a unanimous decision win over Houston Alexander and earned a contract with the promotion.
