Jackie Buntan plans to "bring the dog out" against Anissa Meksen.
Back in July, Buntan and Meksen were scheduled for an action-packed bout for the vacant women's strawweight kickboxing world title. Unfortunately, Buntan suffered an injury while training, postponing their matchup initially booked for ONE Fight Night 23: Ok vs. Rasulov.
On Nov. 8, the inaugural women's strawweight kickboxing queen will finally be crowned at ONE 169. The event was supposed to take place in North America before being moved to the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand due to partner obligations.
Jackie Buntan recently appeared in an interview with ONE to discuss her upcoming fight. The American superstar had this to say about expecting a war against Meksen:

"I bet on myself all the time. I think I’m going to come out victorious, even if it’s a five-round war. I have a feeling this is going to be that type of fight. I know I’m going to have to bring the dog out inside of me and bring it to her."
ONE 169 will feature several world title fights, including Anatoly Malykhin vs. 'Reug Reug' Oumar Kane (heavyweight MMA) Christian Lee vs. Alibeg Rasulov (lightweight MMA), and Rodtang Jitmuangnon vs. Jacob Smith (flyweight Muay Thai).
The Nov. 8 event can be seen live and for free by North American and Canadian viewers with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
Jackie Buntan and Anissa Meksen look to solidify legacy with ONE gold
Jackie Buntan has fought in ONE Championship seven times, with her one loss against Smilla Sundell. The 27-year-old has proven her warrior spirit within the promotion but hasn't accomplished the ultimate feat of becoming a world champion.
Meanwhile, Anissa Meksen is a seven-time kickboxing and Muay Thai world champion in other promotions. Meksen has won three of her first four matches in the world's largest martial arts organization.
'C18' earned respect on a global scale, but similar to Buntan, she hasn't claimed gold under the ONE banner.
At ONE 169, Buntan and Meksen plan to etch their name into promotional history by emerging victorious. Furthermore, they have an opportunity to conquer the women's strawweight kickboxing division and set up potential super-fights against Smilla Sundell, Phetjeeja, and more.
