Rising Muay Thai star Johan Estupinan of Colombia is in no rush for a world title shot but is confident that he is bound to vie for one and win at some point.
'Panda Kick' made this known in an interview with ONE Championship, highlighting how immediate his plans are to build up his standing in the promotion and then go for the championship belt.
The 24-year-old fighter, who made history last year as the first-ever Colombian athlete to join ONE, said:
"I have no doubt in my mind that it will happen. My name will be in the top five soon and I’ll be bringing the belt to Colombia."

Johan Estupinan has gotten his ONE campaign to an impressive start, winning all of his four matches last year, three of which came by way of knockout.
He begins his campaign this year on Jan. 24 at ONE 170 in a flyweight Muay Thai clash against Malaysian-American fighter Johan Ghazali in a battle of emerging stars.
ONE 170 is available on the ONE YouTube channel and Facebook (geo-restrictions may apply) as well as on watch.ONEFC.com.
Johan Estupinan grateful to be fighting under the ONE Championship banner
Johan Estupinan has long considered having a career in martial arts and is happy and grateful he gets to realize it under the ONE Championship banner, which he considers life-changing.
Had it rough in Colombia prior to joining the promotion last year, 'Panda Kick' said a lot of opportunities have opened up for him, making life, not only for him but also for his family, a whole lot better.
He opened up about it in the same interview with ONE Championship, in line with his scheduled fight at ONE 170 on Jan. 24, saying:
"My family's life changed a lot after I joined ONE. I was able to get rid of all my debts, which has allowed me to invest more in my nutrition. I'm happy that things have changed for the better."
He now looks to continue building on what he has started in the promotion, including notching another victory at ONE 170 over fellow rising star Johan Ghazali.
