Manel Kape has had his struggles getting to the Octagon since signing with the UFC and fans have let him hear about it. Many were worried about the status of his fight with Muhammad Mokaev at UFC 304 after it was demoted from the main card to the early prelims but the Portuguese put all doubt to rest at the event weigh-ins by coming in at 125.5 pounds.
Kape has missed weight twice before in the UFC, most recently at UFC Vegas 84 when his opponent, Matheus Nicolau, declined the matchup after his blunder. Many felt that the flyweight's title aspirations and career with the UFC were dependent on him successfully making weight at UFC 304, which he did.

Manel Kape and Muhammad Mokaev separated at UFC 304 face-off
After weighing in on-point for his clash with Muhammad Mokaev at UFC 304, Manel Kape took the center of the stage at the ceremonial weigh-ins with energy but was immediately held back by event security.
After the face-off, the two were then seen engaging backstage in a shouting match and throwing objects at one another.
Their bad blood has built up over months of tension but reportedly escalated during fight week as Kape claimed that Mokaev and his team attacked him in the fighter hotel lobby.
With a lot on the line in the UFC flyweight division, many predict that the winner of the fight between the No. 6 and No. 8 ranked fighters will be the next title challenger for champion Alexandre Pantoja.
