A viral video from an MMA tournament has sparked outrage after a fighter sucker-punched his opponent during a post-fight handshake. The incident took place at the MMA Series-78: Elite Fights tournament in Moscow on April 2, 2024.
In the main event, Sergey Bobryshev defeated Zalimkhan Yusupov in a fight for the silver belt. After the match, Bobryshev extended his hand for a sportsmanlike handshake, but Yusupov responded by delivering a powerful punch to Bobryshev's jaw. The unexpected act stunned the crowd and quickly went viral on social media.

MMA fighter banned for shocking ring girl incident
A MMA event in Moscow was thrown into chaos when a fighter's inappropriate behavior led to a brawl and subsequent ban. Iranian fighter Ali Heibati has been permanently barred from the Hard Fighting Championship (HFC) after an incident involving a ring girl during his bout against Arkady Osipyan.
According to a report by Marca, the incident occurred before the fight began when Heibati, in a seemingly unprovoked act, kicked the ring girl in the derriere as she walked past. The woman was visibly upset by his actions, leading to a confrontation and intervention from the referee.
Despite the warning, Heibati continued his erratic behavior. After losing the fight to Osipyan in the first round, he aimed another kick towards a commentator.
Heibati has since issued an apology to the ring girl, Maria, stating that he "didn't act right" and simply wanted to fight. However, the damage was done, and the HFC took swift action by imposing a lifetime ban on the fighter.
