MMA fans recently voiced their opinions about Bryan Battle missing weight for his UFC 310 encounter. 'Pooh Bear' came out four pounds heavier than the required welterweight limit of 170 pounds at the UFC 310 weigh-ins.
Battle was scheduled to take on the Jamaican welterweight Randy Brown at UFC 310. His fight was lined up as the opening encounter of the event's Prelims card. The UFC generally provides one-pound leverage in weight for the fights that don't have a title on the line. But Battle's missed weight by four pounds which has currently put the bout in jeopardy.
Battle has taken to the octagon seven times in his UFC career to date. He holds an impressive record of 6-1 in them. The Missouri native had good chances of securing another victory as the UFC's official website counted him as a -230 favorite against his +190 underdog rival.
However, a recent X update from @SpinninBackfist revealed that Battle missed weight at the UFC 310 weigh-ins. It's caption read:

"[Bryan] Battle misses weight by 4 pounds"
The comments section of the update showcased that several fans were worried about how Battle looked extremely pale after the weight cut. One such comment read:
"Bro looks like the walking dead."
Others concurred:
"Weight cutting mehn [man] ... he looks dead"
"This is unfortunate, he does not look good."
"The face tells it all! Surprising"

Bryan Battle started his MMA journey as a heavyweight
Several UFC stars have transitioned across weight classes to date. Noted light heavyweights like Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones have also claimed the divisional championship after moving up to heavyweight. But it isn't common to watch a heavyweight come down to lower weight classes.
However, Bryan Battle is an exception to this. A few months back a video posted on X by @mmamania showcased a fight between two heavyweights which ended in a headkick KO. Its caption mentioned that the heavyweight who got knocked out was none other than Battle.
Fans may find it hard to match Battle's current appearance to how he looks in the video. But its authenticity was confirmed by the UFC welterweight himself. Battle reposted the video with a caption revealing that he started his amateur MMA career as a heavyweight.
"Most people don’t realize I was 21 years old and 300 pounds when I started training. I found my passion and it changed me both mentally and physically."
