UFC lightweight star 'Iron' Michael Chandler recently released never-before-seen footage of him vigorously training before the cancellation of his massively hyped UFC 303 bout with Irish megastar Conor McGregor last June.
The anticipation for the main event battle was through the roof as McGregor, the UFC's top cash cow, was about to make his return to action after three years of absence. Rumors of the bout being in jeopardy after the press conference, which was supposed to take place in Dublin, Ireland, was abruptly cancelled.
The fight was ultimately scrapped about two weeks before the event as McGregor had to pull out due to a toe injury. The main event was eventually replaced with a rematch between Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka for the UFC light-heavyweight title.
Michael Chandler posted the UFC 303 training video on Instagram, with part of the caption saying:

Michael Chandler recounted day of receiving news that UFC 303 main event fight cancellation
A few days after the fight cancellation in June, Michael Chandler released a lengthy video on his Instagram, recounting the day he received the bad news and what are his thoughts on his fighting future.
Chandler said:
"I just got done with my last sparring session, Thursday morning [June 13]. Had been hearing rumblings since Monday [June 10], obviously. But really got the call about an hour after my last sparring session was completed...The happiest and healthiest and hardest to kill and most dangerous man I have ever been in my entire life in that moment to thirty minutes later getting a phone call that all of that was for naught. Or was it?"
'Iron' further said these parting words to his fans:
"So we keep moving forward in the face of adversity with complete disregard to previous failures, previous setbacks, previous things outside of our control and future opposition. I love you guys. Keep walking on. God bless. I'll see you at the top."
