Bryce Mitchell next fight: Did Ilia Topuria recently turn down the chance to fight 'Thug Nasty'?

Bryce Mitchell is currently on the hunt for his next UFC opponent after beating Edson Barboza at UFC 272: Covington vs. Masvidal via unanimous decision. The American last fought in March and had his eyes set on Ilia Topuria for his next outing, but Topuria allegedly turned down the offer.

'Thug Nasty' updated his fanbase via Twitter and stated that 'El Matador' had issues over making weight. Mitchell also said that the UFC is now actively looking for a new featherweight but didn't completely rule out a future contest against Topuria:

"I just wanna update y'all with some fight news to the best of my knowledge. Ilia Topuria has not accepted the fight. So they're moving on, looking for other opponents. Maybe in a couple days he'll [Topuria] change his mind. But I heard that Ilia is now saying that he can't make the weight."

The highly touted prospect, Bryce Mitchell, is seemingly an avoided man in the UFC right now. Movsar Evloev also recently pulled out of the main event of UFC Fight Night 214. He was scheduled to fight Mitchell on November 5.

At the time, 'Thug Nasty' took to Twitter once again and was lambasted Evloev's trash talk in the build-up to the fight. Mitchell retorted that at least he turned up to the bout despite allegedly being a 'dumbass', according to the Russian.

Did Bryce Mitchell also callout Sodiq Yusuff?

Bryce Mitchell has also called out Sodiq Yusuff, but once again the American couldn't make headway in trying to make the bout official. Mitchell was keen on fighting in November but Yusuff stated via Twitter that he wouldn't be able to fight that soon.

While calling out the Nigerian on social media, Mitchell even stated that he had concerns over Yusuff being able to make the weight. He clarified that the call-out was overall a polite exchange between the two fighters:

"Sodiq since u been callin me out I’m gunna accept ur offer. I kno u ain’t scared but I’m worried u got too fat! Haha it’s all luv Sadiq but u kno dam well I ain’t lyin. Make the weight and let’s do it brother." [sic]

Yusuff replied:

"You are absolutely correct Bryce. If we fight it's definitely not happening in November at this point."

Bryce Mitchell recently made a habit of calling people out and is now targeting non-fighters. Joe Rogan recently came under fire from 'Thug Nasty', the UFC fighter is keen on debating Rogan over the shape of the globe.
