According to the UFC website, Mitchell weighs 145.4 lbs, while the Spaniard weighs 156 lbs. However, since the contest takes place in the featherweight division, both fighters are expected to weigh a maximum of 146 lbs, as is the norm for all non-title featherweight UFC matchups.

In terms of their UFC record, both athletes are undefeated, with 'Thug Nasty' holding six wins in the promotion, while the Spaniard holds four. However, Bryce Mitchell has one pro exhibition defeat from The Ultimate Fighter Season 27 semi-finals against Brad Katona.

The biggest name amongst 'Thug Nasty's spoils is perhaps Edson Barboza. The 28-year-old clinched a unanimous decision win against Barboza at UFC 272.

Following the same logic, Ilia Topuria's biggest win in the promotion came against Ryan Hall at UFC 264 via a first-round knockout.

Bryce Mitchell says that Ilia Topuria is going to be a tough fight

During a recent interview with Sportskeeda MMA, surging featherweight contender Bryce Mitchell gave props to his UFC 282 opponent for his impressive win against Jai Herbert at lightweight.

Mitchell stated that his fight with Topuria was going to be a tough one:

"Yeah I did see that... See now, that's how you find out a lot about a guy's character and fighting and stuff and you know he is tough and he can overcome adversity and I'm not expecting this to be an easy fight."
