Bryce Mitchell has called for a clash with undefeated featherweight contender Movsar Evloev, who was set to fight Aljamain Sterling at UFC 307 on Oct. 5. 'Funk Master' was forced out of the fight due to injury, and it's unclear if the promotion will try and keep Evloev on the same card.
The Arkansas native has suggested that he face Evloev in two months' time, with Mitchell currently not in peak physical condition. 'Thug Nasty' has not competed in 2024 after suffering one of the worst knockouts in UFC history against Josh Emmett at UFC 296.
Evloev appears open to fighting anyone on the featherweight roster following Sterling's withdrawal from their bout, and Mitchell could end up facing him should the matchmakers be interested.
Given the high-level grappling skillset possessed by both fighters, it could be a fun fight to schedule. Mitchell was recently interviewed by The Schmo, where he said this:

"I want that fight, I'm down. That's all I need, two months, and I think that's fair to ask. If [Evloev] really wants that fight, two months is not that long of a wait for what they're paying him. He can survive two more months without a paycheck... There's not a bigger draw... People want to see me fight Movsar, I want to kick his a**, because he's been a little b*stard to me."

Bryce Mitchell "wouldn't be surprised" to see Ilia Topuria KO Max Holloway at UFC 308
UFC 308 will be headlined by one of the most exciting matchups of 2024 as Ilia Topuria faces off against Max Holloway.
Both men are oozing with confidence, as Topuria became the first man to defeat Alexander Volkanovski at featherweight when the pair clashed at UFC 298 for the title.
The Hawaiian is coming off of a career-best performance against Justin Gaethje at UFC 300, where he knocked out 'The Highlight' with one second left in Round 5 to win the BMF title.
Ahead of the featherweight title fight, Bryce Mitchell was interviewed by The Schmo, where he shared his prediction. Surprisingly, he stated that Topuria could certainly crack the legendary chin of Holloway, saying this:
"I think Max has a little bit of an advantage but I really do think that Ilia has the punching power... I do give a favor to Holloway. But if Topuria finished him, I wouldn't be surprised. But he's so hard to put away." [4:12-4:38 in Bryce Mitchell's aforementioned interview]
