Marcus 'Buchecha' Almeida returns at ONE 169 with the hope of putting the past behind him so that he can move forward.
The heavyweight contender and Brazilian jiu-jitsu icon is still constantly learning at this stage in his MMA career.
His last fight in particular was a massive learning experience for the Brazilian who suffered his first loss after going 4-0 to kickstart his run.
Almeida went to war with Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane last time out, and though he was unable to secure the victory, he came away with some valuable experience.

In a recent interview with ONE Championship, 'Buchecha' reflected on the fight and broke down where, in his opinion, he went wrong.
He believes that after getting off on the wrong foot, he was unable to turn the tide quick enough to get his hand raised and bounce back from the adversity that he faced early on:
"I made some bad and hasty decisions during the fight, and I ended up having a very bad first round that cost me the fight. When I found myself in the fight, it was already a little too late."
Buchecha will look to start the fight on the front foot this time
On Nov. 8 at Lumpinee Stadium, 'Buchecha' makes his return to face off with Amir Aliakbari in a clash of contenders.
With the heavyweight title set to be defended by Anatoly Malykhin later on in the night, this is the perfect chance for either Almeida or Aliakbari to make a statement.
A key to victory for Almeida in this fight is to implement the lessons he learned from his first loss last time out.
As he identified in his recent chat with ONE Championship, his poor start against Oumar Kane cost him the fight.
Making sure that he starts this one in better form could be crucial at ONE 169 in Bangkok, Thailand.
