17-time Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion and undefeated ONE Championship heavyweight Marcus 'Buchecha' Almeida has been traveling a lot lately. After his fruitful trip to Dubai about a week ago, the Juijitsu legend was seen imparting his knowledge and having a good time in Thailand.
Visiting the land where Muay Thai came from, it's imperative that 'Buchecha' takes the opportunity to sharpen his skills in the Art of Eight Limbs. In return, he shared some of his legendary jiu-jitsu techniques at Phuket Fight Club.
Almeida shared some highlights on his Instagram:
"What a week in Phuket, a lot of learning and a good time with my brothers! Thank you so much for the training and for the vibe @leo7elias and everyone from @phuketfightclub . Can’t wait to be back with you all again! 🤜🏼🤛🏼🏆👊🏼🙏🏻"

Aside from being the Mecca of Muay Thai, Thailand is one of the most beautiful places on earth with a bustling city culture. Its pristine beaches, beautiful provincial towns, and lively street culture are surely a treat for the visiting ONE Championship athlete.
'Buchecha' shares highlights of "amazing days" in Dubai
As aforementioned, Marcus 'Buchecha' Almeida visited the marvelous city of Dubai just about a week ago. Being a martial artist all his life, the idea of "traveling" to Almeida means going to places and training with local fighters.
The legendary athlete posted highlights of his visit to the heralded City of Gold. There were a lot of pristine sand dunes, breathtaking desert sceneries, bustling night life, and world-class jiu-jitsu training at Team Nogueira Dubai.
Here's the post:
"Amazing days with great friends in Dubai, thank you all so much for being part of my story, 10 years ago I went to the United Emirates for the first time and 10 years later I look back and see everything I created, I'm not talking about titles, fame or money, but far beyond that, true friendships! Thank you so much @tndubai @tarikalqassimi @thiagosabjj for the invitation and thank you to everyone who is always with me! 🙏🏻🤜🏼🤛🏼"
They say that martial arts is a language that transcends religion, race, gender and culture. If this is true, then 'Buchecha' is one of the most fluent in speaking it. It is evident at how warmly he was welcomed to a city that he hasn't visited in nearly a decade.
Almeida's friends, former jiu-jitsu champions Thiago Sa, Tarik Al Qasimi, and everyone at Team Nogueria Dubai were surely grateful for the relationship they nurtured with the 13-time world champion over the years.
