Muay Thai superstar Superlek Kiatmoo9 has gone berserk with the punches in new training footage he released this week.
The flyweight kickboxing kingpin is anticipating a full-out striking war with reigning ONE bantamweight Muay Thao world champion Jonathan Haggerty at ONE 168: Denver. So instead of drilling his trademark kicks like he's used to, Superlek is primarily focused on building stamina and speed while maximizing the punches.
ONE Championship aptly described Superlek's intensity with the following caption on Instagram, that has all the fans hyped up for his return:
"Built Different. Does Superlek have what it takes to claim Jonathan Haggerty's bantamweight Muay Thai crown on September 6 at ONE 168: Denver?"

Superlek looks uncommonly amped to surprise his UK rival Jonathan Haggerty with a new and improved version of himself on September 6.
From their first fight in 2018 at YOKKAO31, Superlek demonstrated a fearlessness only known to the Thai people. He tested the former up-and-comer with a solid guard and lightning-fast hands.
That night, Superlek came out on top, defeating Haggerty via technical knockout or doctor's stoppage at the end of the second round. Both men are, therefore, excited to re-ignite their rivalry and settle things once and for all on the world's largest stage.

"His advantage will be elbows strikes and size" - Triple-world champion Anatoly Malykhin believes Superlek will be a dangerous opponent to deal with at close range
Triple-world champion Anatoly Malykhin believes that Superlek might have the advantage in his super-fight with Jonathan Haggerty, if he's allowed the space to fight at close-range.
The Russian superstar is completely captivated by the amount of skill and grit that Superlek and Haggerty will bring to their anticipated contest next month. Indeed, the two combatants, are certainly made to fight each other.
Despite recognizing some of Haggerty's best weapons, such as his speed and precision, Malykhin suggests that Superlek might be more dangerous since the Thai champion is known for drawing first blood at close quarters.
Speaking to ONE, Malykhin further explained:
"Superlek is big for this weight class and works very well with his elbows, often cutting his opponents. His advantage will be elbow strikes and size."
