Belal Muhammad is getting himself primed and ready to defend his UFC welterweight title against No. 2-ranked challenger Shavkat Rakhmonov. Although there's no official fight date yet, it's positive that 'Remember The Name' is getting himself ready as early as now.
Rakhmonov is currently undefeated and excels in nearly every aspect of the game. In his last outing, 'Nomad' beat a fellow unbeaten rising star in Ian Machado Garry at UFC 310. Garry was a replacement for Muhammad, who was supposed to defend his belt against Rakhmonov that night but had to pull out due to injury.
Now healed and ready to go, Muhammad is sharpening his weapons in the gym, particularly his kicking technique.

Belal Muhammad went off on Shavkat Rakhmonov after the latter claimed to have been injured before UFC 310
At UFC 310 earlier this month, Shavkat Rakhmonov defeated Ian Machado Garry via a unanimous decision, handing the Irishman his first professional loss. Despite the win being a hard-earned one for the Kazakh, some are dismissing it as sub-par, since 'Nomad' was properly challenged for the first time inside the octagon. Considering Rakhmonov's 100% finish rate before the bout, this argument holds water.
As it turned out, Rakhmonov and his team revealed that 'Nomad' suffered an MCL injury in his fight camp but refused to disclose it before the fight. This, as they claimed, was the reason why the Kazakh superstar wasn't his best that night.
Muhammad wasn't having it, however, the UFC welterweight champ said in an interview with Anik and Florian Podcast:
"When he doesn't look unstoppable or untouchable, that's when they say he had an injury. I hate when guys come off with excuses after a win... You did what you had to do to win the fight, you don't have to give excuses about why it wasn't a finish... So don't come up with an excuse or disrespect [your opponent] like that."
