Elon Musk has taken a swipe at Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, for his perceived hypocrisy regarding money. The billionaire entrepreneur reacted to a video of Altman driving a Koenigsegg Regera, a limited edition hypercar worth over $3 million.
Musk, who co-founded OpenAI with Altman in 2015, responded to the video with a sarcastic comment, questioning how the CEO of a non-profit could afford such an expensive car. This remark has been widely shared and discussed on social media.
In a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the host reacted to Musk's comment with laughter. Rogan pointed out that Altman had previously claimed to be uninterested in money and that he wasn't doing it for financial gain. The video of Altman cruising in a $4 million car, however, contradicts this assertion:
“[Sam Altman] always kind of said I'm not doing this for money I don't make any money and they just busted him in a $4 million Koenigsegg. I don't need money with me money I'm not even interested in money he's driving around a $4 million… Elon was mocking him.”
