In his first defense of the WBC Continental Americas super welterweight title, Callum Walsh headlined a UFC Fight Pass event on Sept. 20 against Polish challenger Przemyslaw Runowski. The event was held in Dublin, Ireland, marking Walsh's professional debut in his home country.
Walsh entered the fight fresh off a victory over Carlos Ortiz Cervantes in June to win the belt. The event in total consisted of eight fights with three titles on the line.
Of the three title fights, Walsh was the only fighter on the card entering the night as the champion. The 23-year-old effortlessly retained his title in the main event, knocking out Runowski in the second round with a counter left hook.
