Francis Ngannou, a proud son of Cameroon used his social media platform to offer condolences to those affected by the Dschang landslide. There were two landslides involved in this situation according to a statement from West regional governor Augustine Awa Fonka.

The subsequent larger-scale landside seemed to do the bulk of the damage with three heavy machines involved in the clearing, multiple vehicles of varying sizes, and multiple people. The lineal MMA heavyweight champion took to his Instagram page to offer his condolences to those affected with corresponding video footage and photos of the tragic incident.

In the Instagram post in question, Ngannou said:

"Unbelievable growth fall yesterday at the Dschang Falaise that caused the deaths of dozens of people. My condolences to the families of the deceased, may they rest in peace."

Francis Ngannou's recent snub from the UFC

Francis Ngannou is a former UFC heavyweight champion who never lost his belt inside the octagon and his pursuit of free agency has clearly rubbed the promotion's brass in a certain way. Ngannou's departure from the UFC for boxing opportunities and MMA bouts inside the PFL cage has led to multiple instances of the UFC omitting to mention their former champion in relevant situations.

The 38-year-old was left out of a compilation piece centered on the UFC's top 100 Apex knockouts. Ngannou knocked out Stipe Miocic in their rematch to claim the UFC heavyweight title and the massive stoppage win transpired inside the confines of the aforementioned Apex. This is not anomalous behavior from the promotion since Ngannou's departure from the company though.

'The Predator' was also seen as being pushed out of the picture in the build-up to UFC 305 when a piece edited by the promotion altered a clip of Israel Adesanya mentioning Ngannou. The in-house UFC-produced video removed Ngannou's name despite several media outlets recording video of the conference which had a reference to the estranged former titleholder.

The Cameroon native was also previously erased from the narrative when the UFC claimed Tafon Nchukwi was the first Cameroonian fighter in UFC history. Ngannou was quick to correct this on social media after the erroneous graphic was put up on one of the promotion's broadcasts.

Fans frequently point out these instances on social media indicating their discontent with the UFC and their unfettered support for MMA's lineal heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou.
