Two combat sports industry giants will go head-to-head in a historic confrontation when Riyadh Season Noche UFC (UFC 306) collides with boxing star Canelo Alvarez's clash against Edgar Berlanga. Noche UFC will be the first sporting event staged at the stunning Sphere in Las Vegas on Sept. 14. On the same date, just over 3 miles away, Alvarez is scheduled to defend his WBA, WBC and WBO super middleweight title at the T-Mobile Arena.
With the stage set for the iconic clash between the biggest names involved in orchestrating the historic events, Alvarez held firm with no sign of capitulation going up against the UFC's mega-scale event at the Sphere. White has reportedly invested more than $20 million to orchestrate the event that celebrates Mexican Independence Day's spirit.
The upcoming UFC pay-per-view card is stacked with fighters of Mexican heritage and serves as White's tribute honoring their fighting spirit. Alvarez, a Mexican fighting icon himself, claimed that other boxing events may have buckled under the weight of squaring off against the UFC. However, he also asserted that "when Canelo fights, it’s different."
Reports have now surfaced that the UFC has dropped the ticket prices for the upcoming event. According to an X post by Boxing Kingdom:

"The UFC decided to compete with Canelo vs Berlanga on Mexican Independence Day. The UFC has now dropped ticket prices again for the event. Canelo seems to be delivering a KO punch and putting a statement on the date."

Several fans took to X to react to the reports and wrote:
"Can't compete with the king on his dates."
"It has nothing to do with Canelo, it's just that the card has only 2 good fights that's it."
"That is not the reason. The ticket prizes for UFC 306 are just off the charts. They thought that holding the first-ever live TV event in the Sphere would draw fans, but not with those ridiculously high ticket prizes."
"Well, its Canelo, biggest boxing star.."

Sean O'Malley reacts to Noche UFC's clash with Canelo Alvarez event
Riyadh Season Nohce UFC will be headlined by a bantamweight showdown between reigning champion Sean O'Malley and Merab Dvalishvili.
O'Malley's third consecutive time headlining a pay-per-view card will carry significant weight considering it clashes with boxing star Canelo Alvarez's fight against Edgar Berlanga. Speaking about going toe-to-toe with Alvarez on a recent episode of The TimboSugarshow, O'Malley said:
"When it comes to Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, who are they talking about? Are they talking about Canelo, are they talking about the boxing fight, or are they talking about the absolute dominating, beautiful, masterful, masterclass performance I put on Merab and the viral knockout that came with it?
"Or are they talking about a 36-minute Canelo boxing fight that was kind of fire? That's what excites me, like the competition of who are they talking about on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Who stole the headlines?"
