'Wonder Boy' will be defending the world title he claimed in February 2023 for the first time at ONE 170 on Jan. 24 at the Impact Arena in Bangkok. Challenging him is No. 3 contender Kwon, who he defeated by knockout in a title eliminator three years ago.

In a video post on Instagram, Andrade expressed his excitement in plunging back into action and successfully defending his world title. He captioned his post with:

" Fight week is here, can’t wait to fight this Friday 🦾🦿 #ready #AndSTILL"

Heading into ONE 170, Fabricio Andrade has added motivation after falling short in his bid to become a double world champion, losing by knockout to then-bantamweight Muay Thai king Jonathan Haggerty in their all-champion clash for the vacant bantamweight kickboxing belt in November 2023.

Out to dethrone the Brazilian champion is Kwon, the winner of his last three matches and looking for redemption against his rival.

ONE 170 is available on the ONE YouTube channel and Facebook (geo-restrictions may apply) as well as on watch.ONEFC.com.

Fabricio Andrade brings familiar face to help him prepare for ONE 170

Recognizing that he is in for an all-important match at ONE 170 on Jan. 24, Fabricio Andrade ensured he worked with people he is comfortable with and believes in to achieve his desired effect. It included bringing in old coach Regis Silva to help him prepare.

Silva, who helped 'Wonder Boy' in some of his previous ONE matches, including the first title match against former bantamweight king John Lineker in 2022, helped ensure that no stone was left unturned in his ward's upcoming fight.

In a video feature he shared on Instagram in line with his rematch with Kwon Won il for the ONE bantamweight belt at ONE 170, Andrade talked about the reason for bringing back Silva.

Fabricio Andrade said:

"He came from Brazil, to help me. I've been training with Regis back in Brazil when I was just starting to fight. It's good to have him, he's more than a trainer, he's like a friend to me. He trained old fights for me, but he's also a good friend."

Andrade-Kwon II is the co-headlining match at ONE 170 and one of three world title fights on offer at the event.
