Prochazka made history at UFC 275 with a come-from-behind submission victory over Glover Teixeira to become the first-ever Czech UFC champion. He is currently preparing to face Jamahal Hill at UFC 311 in his first fight after the knockout loss to Alex Pereira in their rematch at UFC 303.

Jamahal Hill claims he and Jiri Prochazka are not the same ahead of UFC 311

Jamahal Hill has made it clear that he and Jiri Prochazka are not on the same level ahead of their light heavyweight clash at UFC 311 on Jan. 18, 2025, in Los Angeles. Both fighters lost to current champion Alex Pereira in 2024, but Hill insists his loss was a mere misstep, while Prochazka’s performances exposed deeper flaws.

Hill criticized Prochazka’s fighting style, accusing him of surviving fights rather than dominating them. He pointed out their contrasting records, emphasizing his ability to control opponents and secure decisive victories. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Hill said:

“Bro, are you kidding me? So we had the same opponent on our last [fights], right?... [In] your last performance, you got dominated. Dominated and knocked out. Completely shut down, completely exposed, and then got done bad, bro. You got did bad. I got caught, and you got dominated. There’s a huge difference. ... My man literally had your ponytail to the left. I hope you wear that same ponytail in L.A., so I can lean that motherf*cker to the left right back for you."
