Carlos Prates continued his electrifying octagon run with a dominant first-round knockout over veteran Neil Magny at UFC Vegas 100. This win marked his fourth-straight knockout finish in the UFC. The fight, held at UFC Apex in Las Vegas, saw Prates extend his winning streak to 11, showcasing his remarkable power and precision.
With ten knockouts in a row, the Brazilian is quickly rising as a fan favorite and serious contender, marking a stellar year since his UFC debut in February.
Magny initially sought to grapple, hoping to neutralize Prates’ striking advantage, but Prates adapted swiftly. With under two minutes remaining in the first round, he delivered a powerful right hand, stunning Magny, and then sealed the fight with a close-range left hand that knocked out the veteran.

However, after the fight, social media rumors emerged, suggesting Prates' right hand hadn’t landed hard enough to knock out Magny, hinting at possible foul play.
Responding to the allegations during the post-fight press conference, Prates scoffed at the speculation, saying:
“I think they should be come here and I give a punch on his head and after [that] they can talk…When I punch you, no matter where, or how, you're going to get hurt… I think people are talking sh*t. They should come here and let me hit his head.”
