Cesar Mateo Tapia vs. Endry Saavedra IBF International middleweight title clash will serve as one of the undercard bouts for Bakhram Murtazaliev vs. Tim Tszyu later this evening (Oct. 19) at the Caribe Royale in Orlando.

Surging middleweight contender, Tapia (17-0) would be hoping to secure a top-five opponent in his next outing, with a decisive win this weekend. 'El Tijuanero' was most recently seen in a unanimous decision win over Keiber Gonzalez in April.

Saavedra (16-1) currently occupies the No.6 spot on the WBO welterweight rankings. A win this weekend over a promising up-and-comer like Tapia would help him solidify his place in the division. 'El Chino' most recently earned a TKO win over Issac Hardman in March.

Per Bet365, Tapia is a -188 favorite over Saavedra (+160 underdog) for the matchup.

Cesar Mateo Tapia vs. Endry Saavedra

Round 1

Tapia connects with a body shot to start the fight. A sleek uppercut on the inside lands for the undefeated fighter. Saavedra misses and Tapia makes him pay with a barrage of body shots.

Saavedra stings his opponent with a quick jab to the body. He follows it with a right hand to the body. Saavedra connects with a flurry going to both the body and the head. A right hand by Tapia monetarily stuns his opponent.

Round 2

Tapia starts the round aggressively, connecting with hard shorts to the body. A right hand lands upstairs for the fighter. Both fighters trade body shots.

A combination by Saavedra snaps back his opponent's head. A powerful one-two lands for Tapia. Saavedra connects with a flurry of shots on the inside. He stings his opponent with a short uppercut. A left hook at the end of a combo lands for Saavedra.

Round 3

Tapia is working off the jab to set up more powerful shots. But 'El Chino' quickly closes the distance and unloads short shots on the inside. Each time Tapia is getting going on the feet Saavedra is closing the distance where he is having more success.

A beautiful short uppercut on the inside stuns Saavedra. Another barrage of shots and Tapia is down on the canvas. He recovers. But another flurry of body shots on the inside makes Tapia take the knee once again. He recovers again and the closing bell rings, putting an end to the round

Round 4

Tapia seems to have recovered, but Saavedra is still intent on finishing the fight. Tapia catches his opponent with a powerful left hook. 'El Chino' forces his opponent to the ropes to get his body shots going.

Tapia gets out of position and gets to the center of the ring. A right hand by Saavedra backs Tapia up. The Mexican-born Australian flings quick jabs to keep his opponent at a distance. Round 4 was all Saaverda.

Round 5

Saavedra sticks the jab and forces his opponent to the ropes. Sensing the danger of body shots, Tapia quickly escapes to the center of the ring.

As the fight continues Saavedra connects with a barrage of body shots. Double jab lands for the Venezuelan and right-hand land for Tapia. Another flurry to the body backs up the Australian.

Saavedra seems to be in full control of the fight. But the Australian is still trying to turn the fight around. Out of nowhere, Tapia drops his opponent with a powerful right hand.

Round 6

Tapia comes out aggressive, loading up on his right hand. A short left hook lands for the Australian. Saavedra hit his opponent with a flurry, going both up top and to the body.

Tapia backs up his opponent with a powerful right hand. Both fighters seem to be evenly matched. Tapia connects with a right hand momentarily dazing his opponent. However, Saavedra comes back with debilitating body shots. His opponent returns fire with body shots before going upstairs with a right hand.

Round 7

Tapia's right eye is wearing a lot of damage. The straight right hand is money for Tapia, as he is hurting his opponent each time he throws it. An uppercut from range lands for him.

Saavedra connects with an overhand right before closing distance. However, Tapia ties his opponent up to minimize the risk of body shots. As the pair separates, he connects with a right hand. Saavedra is clearly dazed.

The Mexican-born Australian finishes the round landing body shots on his opponent.

Round 8

Tapia accidentally punches to the back of his opponent's head, forcing the referee to call a time-out. As the fight restarts Saavedra comes out aggressive, connecting bodyshots.

A short uppercut on the inside stuns Tapia. He forces his opponent to the corner to set up body shots. Tapia moves out of the corner only to get hit with a flurry of punches.

A left hook followed, by another body shot flurry lands for Saavedra. A good round for 'El Chino'.

Round 9

Saavedra once again closes the distance and connects with body shots. As the pair separates Tapia connects with a right hand.

Saavedra smothers his opponent with body shots dropping the Mexian-born Australian once more. He recovers but seems to be in survival mode. Saavedra is looking to finish the bout. He is pressing his opponent, forcing him into the corner to set up more body shots.

A desperate Tapia uncorks a powerful right hand to keep his opponent at bay, but Saavedra refuses to let up and returns with a left hand to the body.

Round 10

Tapia uncorks the right hand to open the round. He might need a finish to win the fight. Another straight right land for Tapia.

Saavedra however is intent on getting the finish. He is employing his usual tactic of forcing close-quarters encounters and going to the body. A powerful right hand lands for Tapia and his opponent returns fire with bodyshots.

As the closing bell rings the fighters receive a standing ovation from a clearly entertained crowd.
