Chael Sonnen recently made a bold prediction, backing Logan Paul to defeat Conor McGregor in their upcoming boxing bout. He noted that the UFC star's habits and troubles outside the octagon could be detrimental to his performance, and result in a loss.
The MMA community was shocked after an unlikely bout between McGregor and Paul was reportedly in talks to headline a massive event in India. Paul has competed in notable bouts against Floyd Mayweather and PRIME co-founder KSI, while McGregor's lone boxing bout was a loss to Mayweather.
During the latest episode of ESPN's Good Guy / Bad Guy, 'The American Gangster' told co-host Daniel Cormier that he's not confident in the Irishman's chances. Sonnen mentioned that McGregor's lifestyle would take a significant physical toll on him and believes the weight discrepancy would favor Paul:
"Logan [Paul's] not gonna relinquish the size, he's gonna make Conor come up and probably do an exhibition at heavyweight, where Paul's gonna show up around 220 [pounds]. I think Logan Paul whoops his a*s...You got all these years and miles and a leg surgery and a pile of coke and a couple of convictions. Nothing will age a guy faster than drugs and legal work...It will slow you down a little bit." [15:58]

Is the reported boxing bout between Conor McGregor and Logan Paul in doubt?
Despite Conor McGregor posting on his X account that he agreed to fight Logan Paul in a boxing bout and confirming that it will take place, it appears as though there could be some doubt about it transpiring.
During last night's WWE Raw premiere on Netflix, a promo package featuring Paul was featured on the broadcast, in which he said that he would be devoting all his time to his pro wrestling career. He mentioned that he will also not be focusing on side hustles, which could be a reference to his reported bout against McGregor being off:
"I've been so good at this. Now, I'm dedicating my life to this. No more side hustle, no more bullsh*t. 100% WWE."
