Chael Sonnen recently weighed in on the UFC Vegas 73 main event between Mackenzie Dern and Angela Hill.
Sonnen uploaded a video to his YouTube channel, where he analyzed the bout and shared his thoughts on both competitors. He mentioned that Dern speaking about what she was going through in her personal life, while also training for the fight and picking up the win the way she did was commendable.
He said:
"[Mackenzie Dern] talked about how stressful her life has been, talked about a divorce, that's heavy stuff...I mean, there's a lot on it. To go out there, to make weight, to be able to perform, to show up, let alone get your hand raised, those girls and I do mean both of them, deserve a lot of credit." [7:16 - 7:41]

The former UFC title challenger also brought up Hill's MMA record not being a true reflection of the fighter she is. He mentioned that he doesn't feel as though she gets the credit she deserves, saying:
"Angela Hill, in my opinion, has never been given her due...She has improved leaps and bounds over other people that started in the same era that she did. She's outlasted most of them, I mean, she's one of the few remaining survivors from that era...by the way, she's worked her way to main event status." [0:17 - 0:39]
It will be interesting to see who the UFC matches Dern up with next. This especially considering that Yan Xiaonan will likely challenge the winner of the upcoming strawweight title fight between Zhang Weili and Amanda Lemos.

Chael Sonnen weighs in on the UFC bringing back the BMF title
Chael Sonnen weighed in on the UFC's decision to bring back the BMF title when Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje compete in the main event of UFC 291.
Sonnen uploaded a video to his YouTube channel, where brought up that the title was never defended after Jorge Masvidal won it. He mentioned that he always believed the title wouldn't be defended and questioned why the UFC felt the need to bring it back again, saying:
"I told you then the BMF title would never be defended, didn't I? And the BMF champion fought, the BMF champion fought again, and the BMF champ fought again, but he never defended the title, did he? And now he has vacated the title, and now that title is going to be fought for. Why?" [5:11 - 5:32]
