Francis Ngannou’s return has been a popular topic among UFC fans. The reigning UFC heavyweight champion is currently recovering from the knee surgery he suffered earlier this year.
Chael Sonnen recently uploaded a video to his YouTube channel to discuss the game. He mentioned that there is a fascination with how much a fighter weighs and revealed that Ngannou currently weighs 293lbs:
“No massive judgement here. We think it’s interesting when we know what people weigh. We think it’s interesting for multiple reasons including guessing what they’re doing to get there. Francis is 293 [lbs]. Are you glad I told you that or not?”

Sonnen alluded to ‘The Predator’s injury and mentioned that it could make it difficult to train rigorously and make a comeback:
“An injury report is something you keep a little bit private and sometimes you got to put it out there. That isn’t every single detail, ‘hey, my bad knee, going in for a surgery, out for a while.’"
He added:
"Right, you got to put that out there, but the intricacies and the finer points you really don’t have to and if Francis’ next match is coming up, now we’re told that it’s being kicked until March, that’s a long time gone.”

Will Francis Ngannou return against Jon Jones?
Francis Ngannou is expected to return in 2023, however, the UFC haven’t crowned an interim heavyweight champion in the meantime.
It’s unclear if 'The Predator' even had the desire to re-sign with the UFC after his win against Ciryl Gane earlier this year. He will be a free agent and could pursue a boxing bout with Tyson Fury.
If the UFC come to an agreement with Ngannou, they could book a heavyweight clash against Jon Jones. The former light heavyweight champion has been vocal that he is ready to make his heavyweight debut.
It seemed like a bout against former heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic was on the horizon. However, the fight hasn't materialized, so the promotion could perhaps change course in favor of 'The Predator' vs. 'Bones'.
