Major revelation from Alexander Volkov's manager following UFC 310: "Volkov is a title contender, not Gane"

Following Alexander Volkov's contentious split decision loss to Ciryl Gane at UFC 310, many appeared dissatisfied with the judges' scoring, including CEO Dana White. With regards to the same, in a recent interview with TASS, Volkov’s manager Ivanna Bannikov stated:

"The judge known for controversial decisions in boxing left a stain in this story as well. But we are thankful to the UFC management. They informed us that despite the ‘robbery’, Volkov is a title contender, not Gane."

During the post-fight press conference, the Russian mixed martial artist also made sure to express his ire at the judges' decision, saying:

“It was a bullsh*t decision for sure and I don’t accept this. I don’t know what we’re going to do with the decision. I’m absolutely sure I won the fight because I did much more than Gane.”
