Chael Sonnen recently gave his pick for the 'Comeback Performance of the Year'.
In a recent episode of Beyond the Fight, Sonnen snubbed Leon Edwards and Alex Pereira's come-from-behind championship performances. 'The American Gangsta' instead named the Jiri Prochazka vs. Glover Teixeira fight as his pick. The former UFC fighter gave props to 'Denisa' for his performance at UFC 275.
Appreciating the Czech's skillset, Sonnen said:
"It was [Jiri] Prochazka over Glover [Teixeira]. I just thought about how great that fight was. For how many times it looked like that fight was going to be stopped... And then the fact that we get the mathematical equation at the end of the night, which is that Glover was 30 seconds away from remaining world champion... I thought that Prochazka should have got more credit. I saw the skills, and I saw the heart."

Chael Sonnen wants Alexander Volkanovski vs. Islam Makhachev to move to Las Vegas
Alexander Volkanovski and Islam Makhachev are all set to fight for the lightweight title at UFC 284 on February 13, 2023, at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia.
Chael Sonnen spoke to MMA Junkie's Mike Bohn and revealed he dislikes the idea of the lightweight title fight being held in Perth, Australia. Sharing his thoughts, Sonnen said:
"Volkanovski vs. Makhachev. Oh, you're not a world traveler? Perth is disgusting. Are you not aware of that? You don't want to go to Perth for any reason. So, them [UFC] acting like they got a big fight and they've got to go do it in Perth. If you're [doing] a big fight, you do it in Las Vegas, but they're going to Perth."
