Chael Sonnen has never been one to shy away from sharing his opinions on a variety of topics, and he recently did just that regarding American politics.

During his appearance on FLAGRANT with comedian Andrew Schultz, Sonnen recalled reaching out to a past US President to warn him about somebody on their staff. He mentioned that the person he warned the President that there was a phoney in his inner circle who lied about their credentials and he knew them:

"I knew the phoney because the phoney had come after me and it got all the way to the Chief Legal Officer of the Ultimate Fighting Championship that had to put a notice that every venue that we went to, to ban this person that was stalking me and that person was on the inner circle of a President of the United States." 'The American Gangster' added that he then reached out to the President at the time to notify them of the situation. He mentioned that he didn't know the President on a personal level, but he recommended that he take action and remove the individual from his inner circle, saying:

"So I had to reach out to the President, of which I don't know, to let them know that this human being is not who they're claiming they are and they're getting ready to set you up. Not to mention, you're going to look like a fool when it comes out that this person is not named, does not have the title, and did not go to the school." [2:20:51 - 2:21:08]

Sonnen noted that his advice was taken seriously as the phoney who he said that he warned the President about, was removed from his inner circle.

Chael Sonnen claims Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor wasn't sold out

Chael Sonnen recently claimed that Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor never sold out the T-Mobile Arena when they fought in 2017.

During his affromentioned appearance on FLAGRANT with Andrew Schultz, 'The American Gangster' talked about the boxing bout and mentioned that he was shocked that the event wasn't successful from a live event perspective, saying:

"I'm in there and I'm telling the world that this place is sold out cause that's what on the screen. And it's not even close. This isn't like pretty much full, there's thousands of empty seats. That was the first time that in my own life that I ever just, 'Wow, fake news is real.'" [1:14:56 - 1:15:12]

It was interesting to hear the former UFC middleweight title challenger speak about the live attendance for the fight, considering it did well on pay-per-view.
