UFC light-heavyweight champion Alex Pereira and former champ Jamahal Hill nearly came into blows at the UFC Performance Institute today. The two faced each other at UFC 300 in April where 'Poatan' knocked out 'Sweet Dreams' to win the belt. Since then, Hill has been on a scorched-earth campaign to downplay Pereira's win with the hopes of getting a rematch.
Now, Hill has the chance to outdo his rival by facing former divisional titleholder Jiri Prochazka, a former victim of Pereira, at UFC 311 early next year. If he dominantly gets past Prochazka, Hill would have a better argument at rematching Alex Pereira.
At the UFC Performance Institute, 'Sweet Dreams' approached the 205-pound champ while in the middle of a pad session with trainer Plinio Cruz. Very little could be made out of what they were saying, but 'Poatan' seemingly challenged Hill to a fight by throwing a pair of gloves at him. They were separated soon after.

Fans are reacting strongly to the interaction, with @htowncryptodad saying:
"Bro trying to make it personal, Chama and chill Hill."
Meanwhile, @sliikriick threw shade at Hill, saying:
"'We don’t need the gloves' like he was actually gonna do something is hilarious

Alex Pereira tells Jamahal Hill what he needs to do to get a rematch with him
Less than a week ago, when the fight between Jiri Prochazka and Jamahal Hill was announced, Alex Pereira sent a cheeky message to Hill via X, telling the American former champ what he needs to do to get the rematch he's been campaigning for.
All he has to do is to get past the modern-day samurai, Jiri Prochazka. The Czech former champion is a known KO artist with 26 finishes coming by way of knockout. overcoming him is a worthy stepping stone to get a chance at fighting for the belt again.
Pereira wrote:
"Calm down, my son. Pass this test and Dad will give you a second chance."
It can be argued that whoever wins this bout will most likely get a title shot in the future. The two are just beside each other on the rankings, with Prochazka sitting at No.2 and Hill at No.3.
