Fourth-ranked ONE Championship women's atomweight MMA contender Alyona Rassohyna of Ukraine is on the cusp of realizing a dream she has had since she joined the world's largest martial arts organization a few years ago.
The embattled Ukrainian is returning to action this weekend as she competes for the interim atomweight MMA world title.
For the 34-year-old Yarost Gym representative, winning the gold on Friday night is the culmination of all her hard work getting to this point in her career, as well as the opportunity to cement her name in history.

She told ONE Championship in a recent interview:
"I feel like this is a chance to fulfill my potential – and I will definitely do it. For me, this interim belt is one of the big opportunities, a chance to realize myself on the way to the [undisputed] belt."
Rassohyna was last seen in action, splitting two fights with divisional queen Stamp Fairtex in 2021. She, along with former atomweight queen Angela Lee, have been the only two people to defeat Stamp in MMA in ONE Championship.

Ukraine's Alyona Rassohyna returns from more than three years away from competition to face no.2-ranked contender Denice Zamboanga for the ONE interim women's atomweight MMA world title.
The two are set to square off at ONE Fight Night 27: Tang vs. Abdullaev on Prime Video, which broadcasts live in U.S. primetime from the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, January 10.
