One person predicted that McGregor will get knocked out in his next fight. Another user poked fun at the Irishman's ability to check kicks.
It was recently announced that McGregor will be a part of the latest season of UFC's cult show 'The Ultimate Fighter'. The Irishman will be pitted against Michael Chandler in the coaching role. Later in the year, the two will trade leather inside the UFC octagon.
McGregor has been out of action since July 2021. At UFC 264, 'Mystic Mac' competed in a trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier. 'The Notorious' suffered a horrific leg injury in the closing seconds of the first round.
The fight was stopped and 'The Diamond' was declared the winner by TKO via doctor stoppage. McGregor has been recovering from the injury ever since and now, it seems that the Irishman will be ready to fight again this year.
Beneil Dariush weighs in on Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler
Beneil Dariush does not believe Conor McGregor will face many difficulties in his upcoming fight against Michael Chandler.
Dariush recently sat down for an interview with Submission Radio. During his time there, Dariush made his prediction for Chandler vs. McGregor. According to the 33-year-old, 'Iron' might prove to be the easiest fight for the Irishman's return.
"Chandler is the easiest fight for Conor McGregor to win. I'm not saying he can't win against the other guys, but out of everybody, Chandler is the easiest fight. Mike doesn't use his skillset properly. Energy management, zero with Chandler, striking defence, zero with Chandler..."
