Charles Conwell vs. Khiary Gray at super welterweight will go down later this evening at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas, on the undercard of the WBC interim super welterweight clash between Serhii Bohachuk vs. Vergil Ortiz Jr.
Conwell (19-0) is ranked No.2 on WBC's super welterweight rankings, below Errol Spence Jr. The 26-year-old holds 14 knockouts to his resume and was last seen in a sixth-round TKO win against Nathaniel Gallimore. A few more quality wins might fetch 'Bad News' a No.1 contendership matchup.
Meanwhile, Gray's (18-6) pugilistic career pales in comparison to his fellow super welterweight. 'King TooSharp' has produced largely mixed results in recent years and is 3-2 in his last five. He'll be looking to pull off an upset this weekend.
According to Oddschecker, Gray is a +3300 underdog against Conwell (-1400 favorite) for the match-up.

Round 1

'Bad News' starts the round with more intent. He is sticking his opponent with jabs to open up opportunities on the inside. Gray is however trying to keep his opponent on the outside.
An uppercut to the body followed by a left hook-up top lands for Conwell. Another left hook lands for 'Bad News'. Gray seems to be bleeding from his once.
Wow!!! Conwell stings his Gray with a decoy shot upstairs and comes back with a debilitating left hook to the body that puts his opponent down on the canvas. He is unable to get back up.
Conwell is the victor.
