Charles Oliveira recently shared his reaction to being linked to multiple potential fights against Dan Hooker, Alexander Volkanovski, and Benoit Saint Denis. The former UFC lightweight champion dismissed the rumors and stated he wasn't aware of any such bookings.

Over the past few days, the MMA community on social media has been abuzz with fight rumors related to Oliveira. The Brazilian was reportedly linked to several high-profile fighters, which sent fight fans into a frenzy. It's worth noting that Volkanovski mentioned Oliveira as an exciting potential opponent at lightweight.

While fight fans were undoubtedly hyped by the prospect of witnessing 'Do Bronx' go up against any of these fighters, it appears the Brazilian wasn't looped in on news regarding his future fights. Oliveira recently rubbished the rumors and clarified that he didn't have any fights booked as yet.

In a recent X post, the former lightweight kingpin joked about potentially fighting these entities in the Metaverse and wrote:

"People have been booking fights for me that I'm not aware of. Metaverse fights. Maybe."

After a fan expressed their regret at these rumors not holding any weight and wishing they were true, Oliveira responded by stating:

"Thanx, but they're not."

Alexander Volkanovski talks potential Charles Oliveira clash for lightweight return

Alexander Volkanovski recently opened up about his future plans and potential fights before he hangs up his gloves for good. The former UFC featherweight champion named Charles Oliveira as one of the fighters he'd like to face next.

During an interview with Fox Sports Australia, the 35-year-old Australian shared his thoughts on future fights and opened up about returning to the lightweight division. He said:

"I’ve heard Ilia and Max is confirmed so I need to talk with the UFC and see what’s going on. I’d said I wanted some time off, and the UFC wanted me to take some time off, so if that fight is made I need to be okay with it."

Volkanovski continued:

"So if there is no title fight until next year then I need something exciting — maybe Charles Oliveira. There are others but I think Michael Chandler will keep waiting for Conor McGregor and I think Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje also want to wait a bit. There is nobody [at featherweight] that excites me, or that I haven’t fought already. And they’ve said my next one there is the title fight." [H/T FoxSports.com.au]
