UFC welterweight Carlos Prates had an incredible outing at the UFC 305 event which took place on Aug. 18 at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia. Prates went up against Li Jingliang, arugably his toughest opponent to date, on the main card of the event.
The pay-per-view marked Jingliang's first UFC appearance in nearly two years. 'The Nightmare', on the other hand, was making a quick turnaround after defeating Charles Radtke via first-round knockout earlier in June.
Prates appeared to be in control of the fight as he consistently landed several left hand strikes on 'The Leech'. In the second round, 'The Nightmare' landed a brutal left hook that knocked Jingliang out cold.
The fight marked the first time that the Chinese fighter suffered a knockout loss in his career. With the victory, Prates is now riding a 10-fight win streak in his career.
