ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong has confirmed that South Korea's Ham Seo Hee will be next to challenge Angela Lee for the women's atomweight world title.
'Hamzzang' picked up her third-straight victory inside the circle, besting Itsuki Hirata by unanimous decision at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video.
Ham Seo Hee is currently the No. 2 ranked women's atomweight, only trailing Stamp Fairtex and of course, Angela Lee.
Sityodtong spoke to the South China Morning Post (SCMP) after ONE Fight Night 8 to discuss the women's atomweight title picture, stating:

"For sure, Ham Seo Hee will be going in to the interim world title shot in her next fight. Her opponent will be either Stamp or whoever will be in the top five or top two. So yeah, she will get a world title shot."
The CEO added, saying:
"I do believe that the [women’s] atomweight division must go on and I think Ham Seo Hee is deserving of a world title shot."
Ham is likely to compete for the interim world title due to Angela Lee taking time away to grieve the tragic death of her younger sister, Victoria.

Chatri Sityodtong asserts that ONE Championship's fighters are better than those in the UFC
Chatri Sityodotng has long proclaimed that ONE has a more talented roster than the UFC—and he believes a mega-event between the two promotions could possibly take place. He told SCMP MMA:
“The world has become a global duopoly. If you look at the popularity of UFC in the west and you look at the popularity of ONE in the east, it's basically the same. But I will tell you, our fighters are better, and I'll tell you that I'd love to see one day a ONE versus UFC event, a mega-event to see who truly is the best in the world.”
The promotion will touch down in the United States for the very first time this May with ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video, a truly historic event.
Make sure to tune in to ONE Fight Night 10 on May 5 to watch former UFC superstar Demetrious Johnson face Adriano Moraes in their highly-anticipated flyweight world title rubber match.
All of the action from 1stBank Center in Denver, Colorado will be broadcast live and for free to Amazon Prime subscribers across North America.
