Along with their expansion into submission grappling, a huge part of ONE Championship and Chatri Sityodtong's plans for 2022 have been about making a foray into North America.
Through their deal with Amazon, ONE Championship’s flagship events are now broadcast live and free for Prime Video subscribers in North America.
Following ONE on Prime Video 4, ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong spoke about how the expansion is going so far in his post-event press conference:
“When fans around the world have not seen ONE, it will be very eye-opening, and you will truly see the world's greatest world champion martial artists, full stop, in any discipline. Our numbers are growing exponentially, across every metric, across every platform, and in all these new countries.”

He added:
“So again, we're at the very beginning of our US journey, literally, day one. I have tremendous faith in the Amazon partnership, and what we're doing, and we're only going to get bigger and better and bolder and badder as I said, even in the US.”

“I'm really fired up to come back” – Chatri Sityodtong excited for ONE Championship’s return to Manila
In less than two weeks, ONE Championship returns with two huge back-to-back events. ONE on Prime Video 5 and ONE 164 will both take place at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines.
After the events of ONE on Prime Video 4 this past weekend, CEO Chatri Sityodtong spoke about the promotion’s return on December 2:
“Oh, I'm very excited about Manila. We haven't been back for almost three years because of the pandemic in Asia. All the countries were shut down even until recently. Japan just opened up a couple of weeks ago. The borders are still closed. China just opened last week.”
Chatri Sityodtong continued:
“I'm really fired up to come back to Manila, obviously. It's literally one of the greatest countries for fight fans, full stop, in terms of combat sports lovers. And obviously, ONE has a huge base there. Being the number one or number two sports property every week in the Philippines in terms of TV viewership.”
