Chatri Sityodtong says Rodtang versus Takeru primed to be most-watched event in Japanese martial arts history

ONE Championship chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong was blown away by the buzz surrounding the promotion's latest blockbuster last weekend, ONE 170. And the head of the world's largest martial arts organization couldn't be more thrilled with how ONE kicked off 2025 in style.

But more importantly, Sityodtong is looking forward to two more big events for ONE Championship coming up in the next few weeks in Qatar and Tokyo, particularly ONE 172: Takeru vs. Rodtang scheduled for Saitama Super Arena in March.

Sityodtong said on the broadcast:

Takeru and Rodtang have long been on a collision course, and the two are finally locking horns this year in front of a massive audience.

Takeru Segawa and former ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon are finally going to meet in the ring. They will throw down in the main event of ONE 172: Takeru vs. Rodtang, which broadcasts live from Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan on Sunday, March 23.
