ONE Championship chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong was blown away by the buzz surrounding the promotion's latest blockbuster last weekend, ONE 170. And the head of the world's largest martial arts organization couldn't be more thrilled with how ONE kicked off 2025 in style.
But more importantly, Sityodtong is looking forward to two more big events for ONE Championship coming up in the next few weeks in Qatar and Tokyo, particularly ONE 172: Takeru vs. Rodtang scheduled for Saitama Super Arena in March.
Sityodtong said on the broadcast:

"Hundred percent, you know, not only do we have the world's greatest martial artists on the planet, full stop, but if you take a look at Rodtang and Takeru, these are two elite, elite world championship strikers the whole world is watching. And mark my words, it will be the single most-watched event in Japan's martial arts history. Saitama Super Arena, Takeru versus Rodtang."
Takeru and Rodtang have long been on a collision course, and the two are finally locking horns this year in front of a massive audience.
