There is no such thing as an easy fight in ONE Championship, according to ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong.

The warriors of ONE will return with a bang this Friday night when the promotion heads to Impact Arena in Bangkok for ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video. The epic night of fights will be headlined by a main-event matchup between reigning ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion Superbon Singha Mawynn and No.1-ranked contender Chingiz Allazov.

Ahead of the promotion's first event of 2023, ONE CEO and chairman Chatri Sityodtong spoke about the level of talent under the ONE Championship banner, saying:

“Everyone knows that ONE Championship, we have the best kickboxers in every division, the very best Muay Thai fighters in every division as well. We have the very best of the best, so there is no easy fight. If you want to fight the best of the best, there’s only one place, and it’s in ONE.”

In addition to the long-awaited kickboxing clash, fans will be treated to some of the biggest names in ONE, including the return of fan-favorite Stamp Fairtex. The former two-sport world champion will have her hands full as she meets seven-time world titleholder Anissa Meksen in a historic mixed-rules super fight.

All that and more will be available live and for free in U.S. primetime on Amazon Prime Video with an active subscription.

Chatri Sityodtong's relationship with fighters is what makes ONE Championship stand out from the competition

ONE Championship prides itself on standing apart from the competition. There is a laundry list of ways that the Asian-based promotion accomplishes this, but perhaps the most important thing is their treatment of fighters. Operating as a family just as much as a business, the ONE CEO understands the importance of not just taking care of their fighters financially but being there for them in both the good and the bad times. Chatri Sityodtong said in the same interview:

“I’ve been in martial arts my whole life, I understand martial arts at the highest level. I have empathy, I have compassion, I love our athletes and all of that comes out.”

Recently retired veteran Brandon Vera commented on the difference between ONE Championship and other global combat sports organizations when it comes to how they treat their fighters. In an interview with The MMA Superfan, he said:

“Man, it’s night and day. It’s so different, and I don’t wanna say it’s an American culture because it’s not. Regardless it’s a martial arts culture, it’s a mixed martial arts culture. But the way it’s been bred in the other organizations is fight-fight-fight-fight-fight. And you better do this, you better do that. You have to do this, you have to do that.”
